Interventional Cardiology

Our Interventional Cardiologists specialize in minimally invasive procedures that involve inserting catheters, thin flexible tubes, into the veins around the heart to diagnose and treat narrowed or blocked vessels and faulty heart valves.  Procedures performed by our Interventional Cardiologists include:

  • Coronary and peripheral vascular intervention

Electrophysiology Cardiology (EP)

Electrophysiology cardiologists are specialists who identify and treat heart rhythm disturbances including palpitations, irregular heartbeat (arrhythmias) and others symptoms such as blackouts and unexplained falls as well as reduced ventricular function. They preform diagnostic tests and use medications, implantable devices and ablation (burning) techniques to affect the heart’s electrical impulses and reduce symptoms. Kadlec's EP services include:

  • Cather ablation is used to treat cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation (AFib) and flutter, supra-ventricular tachycardia (SVT), premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), and ventricular tachycardia (VT).
  • Pacemaker placement
  • Implantable carioverter-defibrillators (ICDs)
  • Cardiac resynchronization therapy
  • Heart rhythm monitoring
  • Management of medications for arrhythmias, heart failure and anti-coagulation (warfarin, Xarelto, Eliquis, Pradaxa)
