After seeing a lot of people suffer with shortness of breath due to lung diseases, Dr. Rawat chose pulmonology as his field as he wanted to make a difference in people's lives not just with the medication but with constant support and education.
Today he is able to do so, both in the hospital as a critical care physician and in the clinic as a pulmonology specialist. He is trained to diagnose and treat most diseases of the lung with special interest in lung cancer, pulmonary fibrosis and other interstitial pneumonitis and pleural diseases.
Area of Care
Dr. Rawat received his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University in New Delhi, India. He then went on to his Residency in Internal Medicine at New York Medical College-Metroplitan Hospital center in New York as well as at Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India. He completed his Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Fellowship from Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York.
He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine.
