Multiple Sclerosis and Neuromuscular Disease
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease where the body’s immune system attacks the myelin – the fatty envelope which surrounds nerve fibers in the central nervous system. MS is a chronic disease, which means that one has it for the rest of their lives, and people with MS may often develop progressive worsening neurological disability. MS can cause a wide variety of symptoms including tingling, numbness, weakness, vision problems and paralysis.
Kadlec Neuroscience Center has a fellowship-trained specialist providing advanced treatment for MS. While MS cannot be cured, we believe our patient-centered approach is designed to maximize the well-being of those affected by MS.
Experts in the diagnosis and treatment of brain, spinal, spinal cord & peripheral nervous system disorders.
