Monthly Wellness Programs – Each month you will be invited to a special program where a local health care professional will be the guest speaker on health related topics. You will receive a reminder each month with details. Reservations are required.
Medicare Information and Advocacy – A two-hour informational class is held each month designed to help you understand your Medicare benefits and how Medi-gap plans, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare Part D Prescription Plans and Retiree plans work with Medicare. Also to help keep you updated on current changes. If you are in need of help on an individual basis in any of these areas please let us know. Call our office at 942-2700 for a class reservation or to make an appointment for individual help.
Mall Walkers - This is walking program and a great way to exercise and socialize. Walkers meet at Columbia Center where they check in at the registration table located at the food court at the center of the mall, between 8 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Doors are open at 7:30 a.m. Stop by the registration table to sign up each time you walk. We will keep track of your miles and you will receive incentive prizes such as t-shirts, coffee mugs and wind jackets. Walk at your own pace.
Newsletters - Twice a year you will receive “Healthy Ages News,” a publication brought to you by Healthy Ages. It is designed to keep you updated on current and future services, events and programs.
Vial of Life - Healthy Ages is a proud sponsor of the free Vial of Life containers supplied to the community. The Vial of Life is a container that holds a document you fill out with your critical medical information. A magnet is supplied with the container that you place on your refrigerator door. In the event of an emergency, this magnet informs EMS that you have health information in the vial in your refrigerator or freezer.
Because your health and medications may change, you may fill out the included document and print a new form each time your medical information changes.
To receive your initial canister, form, and magnet, please contact Healthy Ages at (509) 942-2700.
