Dr. Gibbons was very knowledgeable and forthcoming. He shows genuine concern for the issue I presented with as well as my overall health. He took all the time needed to address my needs at the appointment and had a plan for future followup. Dr. Gibbons is friendly, courteous and took great care to address my problem.

after surgery the instructions my husband was given seemed to be different then the instructions I was given for after-care at my pre-op. This led to some confusion and stress.

I'm not sure where the breakdown occurred. But, Dr. Gibbons was not aware of [...]'s medical history. I made it very clear to the person I talked to when I first called about scheduling the appointment that he is a terminal cancer patient on hospice care. He had fallen and broke his humerus. I was hoping it was going to be able to be set in hopes of reducing the pain. When Dr. Gibbons came in to the office, he was obviously unaware of that fact. He started talking about options and how if we went non-surgical, he would never be able to raise his hands over his head. He then went on and spent the most time talking about surgical options until I pointed out the medical history. I think had he taken the time to look at the chart more carefully or the person put that in the appointment comments, he would have seen the cancer diagnosis and had a different approach. Once I pointed it out, he took a more appropriate approach.
