I grew up in Holladay, Utah, graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, and completed my M.B.A. and medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX before I was finally blessed to plant roots in the fertile Inland Pacific Northwest. Whew! Took me long enough! My passion is rural family medicine, where I can make long-term relationships with families and positively impact the community. I strongly believe in our individual responsibility to care for our own bodies, minds, and spirits; the importance of health education and prevention; and the central role that relationships and trust have in the patient-physician relationship. My special medical interests include obstetrics, procedural care, preventative medicine, rural medicine, wilderness medicine, and international medicine. Outside of work, I enjoy being with my wife and our four children, cycling, rock climbing, reading, serving within my church and neighborhood, and preparing for our dream to live on some farmland in rural America.
