Dr. Matiaco is excited to stay close to family (he grew up near Portland, OR and his wife grew up in Moscow, ID) to practice medicine on the sunny side of Washington. He is interested in family and community health with a focus on preventative and rural medicine. Dr. Matiaco is also interested in osteopathic manipulative treatment and spent an extra year teaching it in medical school. Dr. Matiaco graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology followed by a master’s degree in Public Health. He received his medical degree from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences and completed most of his rotations nearby in Yakima. Outside of medicine, Dr. Matiaco enjoys family time with his wife, two boys and their dog. He also enjoys hiking, gardening and recently wood working.
