Summer program for high school students

The Kadlec Experience Healthcare Summer Program is a dynamic, week-long event, held at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, which will immerse students in the health care industry. Students will utilize and build their leadership, teamwork, creativity and communication skills, as well as develop solutions to real world health issues. This amazing opportunity will allow them to explore the healthcare industry while working collaboratively with professional mentors and a group of their peers.

When:

Experience Healthcare scheduled for summer 2020 is cancelled.

Cost:

$75 for the week (daily snacks and lunch provided)
Scholarships are available

Requirements:

Students must be at least 16 years old by the start of their selected week and entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade by fall of 2019. Students graduating 12th grade in spring of 2019 are also eligible.

Summer program for college students

The Kadlec Pre-Health Professions Summer Program is a four week event, held at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, which will immerse students into the world of health care. This amazing opportunity will allow them to explore their education & career goals while shadowing various Kadlec health professionals. Students will also get opportunities to build leadership and communication skills, through presentations and workshops.

When:

Select one of these two, four-week long sessions for 2020:

Students must be able to commit to the full four weeks they select

Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age by the start of selected session
  • Have completed at least one year of college (not counting Running Start)
  • Have taken at least one science course affiliated with a Pre-Health track (Human Anatomy & Physiology, Human Biology, Microbiology, etc.)
  • Upon acceptance, consent to a National Background Check
