Intensive Care Unit
The Beacon Award winning Intensive Care Unit at Kadlec Regional Medical Center cares for patients who are recovering from major surgery, a major illness such as a heart attack or respiratory failure or who are generally unstable and needing advanced monitoring and intensive treatment.
Our 20-bed unit is equipped with a wide array of sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. Our staff has specialized training to care for these critical ill patients. The unit also has expanded patient rooms, larger family waiting areas, and private family waiting areas.
Because of the complex nature of intensive care, Kadlec was the first hospital in the area to include an Intensivist as a part of its medical staff. An Intensivist has specialized in treating seriously ill patients and manages the care of patients while they are in Kadlec's ICU. Kadlec has an Intensivist on duty 24-hours a day.
Up to 4 visitors are welcome between 8am and 9pm with 1 visitor at night. No children under the age of 10.
