It is only through donor support that the Foundation is able to able to improve the lives of our patients and our community members. A recent heartfelt demonstration of such donor support occurred when elementary aged members of the Christ the King Girls on the Run Program donated and delivered 14 gift bags to pediatric patients in the Don & Lori Watts Pediatric Center.
The girls chose to make the gift bags for pediatric patients as their way of giving back to the community in which they live. The bags (themed for boys and girls) contained toys and get well cards and were aimed at bringing joy to their hospitalized peers. Dr. Kevin Marsh, medical director of Pediatric Hospitalists, accepted the donations and spoke with the girls about their kind donation.
The Foundation, along with Dr. Marsh and the recipients of the gift bags, thank the girls and the coaches of the Christ the King Girls on the Run Program for their thoughtfulness and generosity.
