Understanding Your Medical Bill

When you are a patient at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, physicians other than your family doctor or surgeon may provide care. In this case, you may receive bills from these physicians, separate from the bill for services provided by the hospital.

If you have any questions regarding your bill, please call our Patient Financial Services department at 855-367-1343.

Billing update for COVID-19 testing, vaccination and care

Multiple Statements

Below are some of the specialists based at Kadlec, who bill patients separately when they provide service:

Radiologist

This is a doctor who interprets any imaging study done on an inpatient or outpatient basis. Kadlec contracts with a physician group called Inland Imaging to handle this service. Therefore, when you have a mammogram, MRI, CT Scan, Ultrasound or other diagnostic imaging procedure, you will receive a physician’s bill from Inland Imaging.

Anesthesiologist

If you have a surgical procedure, or are delivering a baby, you may receive care from an anesthesiologist. Kadlec contracts with Premiere Anesthesia for these services. Premiere Anesthesia bills separately from the hospital for their services.

Pathologist

A pathologist is a specialty physician who diagnoses medical conditions by examining pieces of tissue from patients. This tissue is usually obtained during surgery or other similar procedures. If a pathologist performed this service during your hospitalization or for a specimen sent to the hospital from your doctor's office, you will receive a separate bill. InCyte Pathology is the physician group that provides this service at Kadlec.

Emergency Department

Kadlec emergency department services are provided by physicians employed by a company called Team Health/Northwest Emergency Physicians. If you receive care from a doctor in the E.R., you will receive a separate bill from this group.
