KidzDigzRigsNewsMost of the time, kids are told not to touch things but at Kidz Dig Rigz they can touch, sit in and learn about all kinds of vehicles.

Fire trucks, police cars, tractors, tanks and giant trucks will be on hand 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lampson Pits in Columbia Park, Kennewick.

Admission is $5. Children 2 and younger are free.

Kids can enjoy monster truck rides, tractor rides, a car crusher presentation, bouncy house, face painting and more, said Nikki Ostergaard, with Kadlec Regional Medical Center.

The event is a fundraiser for Kadlec’s pediatric patient items, such as car seats, swaddle sacks and toys, as well as programs such as bereavement support and Courageous Kids to reward brave children staying at the hospital.

Kids get a change to climb on big rigs Saturday and Sunday during the Kidz Dig Rigz event at Columbia Park in Kennewick.
