The Cardiac/Neuro Stepdown Unit is staffed by nurses with advanced skills and knowledge in these fields. They have undergone specialized training in areas that include:

• Neurological assessment
• Post-surgical care of cardiac, vascular and neurosurgery patients
• Post pacemaker insertion care
• Monitoring of patients who have had heart attacks, angioplasty or stent placement

Our multidisciplinary team also includes:

• Physical therapists
• Occupational therapists
• Wound care specialists
