Annual Events

Losing a baby is earth shattering.  Babies aren't supposed to die. A few decades ago, families had no outlet for grief when it came to the loss of a baby. We hope to provide a safe place for grieving families to turn for support and to remember and honor their baby. You are invited to any of our annual events. They are open to the public. If you want to remember, or help someone else remember, please join us.

TEARS Foundation's Rock & Walk

The TEARS Foundation is offering an exciting opportunity for the community to become involved with a growing and inspiring event. The TEARS Foundation's Rock & Walk is the signature fundraising event for TEARS. This annual event allows registered walkers to “walk” in honor of a child, or simply in support of others. Each team of walkers may also “rock” in the rocking chairs placed at the event site. Rocking chairs signify the heart of the walk, which is to raise funds for families who have lost a baby and are in need of funeral assistance and emotional support services.

Memorial Service in June

Kadlec Foundation, Einan's Funeral Home, and Sunset Memorial Gardens have collaboratively worked together to create a burial site for parents to focus their feelings of grief and loss. It is a special area where babies born prior to 20 weeks and not born alive are periodically buried at no charge to the parents. Families have found comfort in having a designated resting place where they can visit and remember their baby.

Every year in June there is a special memorial service at Sunset Memorial Gardens for all pregnancy losses that have occurred at Kadlec during the past year. Invitations are sent out in May, but the service is open to the public. The service takes place at the “Our Little Lambs” bronze sculpture site, located by the Einan’s Funeral Home building.

Date: June 13
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Sunset Memorial Gardens
915 Bypass Highway
The service will be held at the“Our Little Lambs” bronze sculpture site, located by the Einan’s Funeral Home building.
